This must be looked into.. i love CDPR they are almost like the underdog that fought and fought to get to the top it's inspiring to say the least. But i live in N.Macedonia and month salary is about 350$-500$ to the 80% of population here.. and 60$ is way too much for us it's unfair really when rich countries with 4k $ month salary pay the same as we do.. for them 60$ is nothing but for me it's 2 weeks worth of food.. and there is worse cases than this i know , maybe one day we will get a price change for most countries maybe it won't happen ever. Will pre order Cyberpunk tho even if i have to go on water diet for 2 weeks.
Just seeing too many people from rich countries complain about the 60$ price makes me sick to my stomach.

I simpatize with you, friend. But I'm afraid there is little could be done about it. Market rules define this prices.

Although its not a lost cause. Remember GoG's games are DRM-Free. You can always split a buy and share a copy with one of your friends.

Ah never thought of that one lol thanks for reminding me about split buy.. forgot it can be done with drm free games. Multiplayer would be tricky i suppose but maybe i can share one account with a friend we won't play together witch it sucks but we can allways play it in different times.

Multiplayer will not be available when the game releases (very likely not even in 2021), and we don't even know if it will be free for the buyers of the base game yet. Worry about the present ;)

While this is obviously a great practical solution, it is also against the GOG terms of service, so you may want to watch out with suggesting this to others (at least in public) ;)

Wow, now there is a pessimistic take. I doubt even CDPR would be stupid enough to try shaking down customers by making them buy multiplayer as expansion/expandalone. Then again, you never know.

I think they will release it free and add microtrasactions they stated it will be only cosmetics like clothes and weapon skins.
MP is a completely separate AAA game, you won't get it for free ... why such ideas? MP will be located in the world of Cyberpunk but may not even be closely related to the lorem that was presented in CP2077 (which I doubt) but it will be a completely separate game and it is 100% confirmed ...
Excuse me for asking but I must have missed something. You can't afford a $60 for a game....don't want to wait for a sale? How many times have we seen Witcher 3 complete with expansions dirt cheap...but the real kicker for me is somehow you managed the cost of the computer.....not to mention the internet...which no matter what country your in is likely running at least $60 monthly.

I pay 41 USD/month (equiv from SEK) for fiber-based 100/10 ethernet, and that's just cause i haven't bothered to switch to something cheaper.

The internet access situation in the US is weird.
Not really. one thing that is pretty consistant no matter where you are in the world is the cost of the internet. The only real surprise is the quality is better almost everywhere compared to the U.S.

Your example of FIOS is an excellent one. you can't get that here except in key large cities. It doesn't exist in rural areas and probably will never exist in the country areas.

Aside from that gaming is a hobby, and a rather expensive one. If you've managed that I suspect you can manage the price tag of the game. There's lots of hobbies i'd like to do that i can't afford. That's life.

the average wage you mention is interesting but it doesn't tell anyone your wage. The average wage in Mexico is even worse but the richest man in the world made his money there and lives there.

And for the U.S. the average wage is far lower than in Korea with housing costing 3 times more as well.

Statistics are interesting but you have to look at all of them. Most countries in the free world aside from 3rd world countries are pretty much on a par with everyone else when cost of housing, food, medicine and taxes are also looked at dispite what the individual average wage is. Alone it indicates little.
The last post is dated 2020, so I want to add my proposition to make prices for games in Ukraine more competitive to other Digital stores like Steam, EGS, EA store, Ubisoft store, etc. What I discovered that in the gog store many games are about 15 to 23% are more expensive than in previously mentioned stores (that do not include sales). That is why in my opinion gog needs to watch more carefully for its prices at least in Ukraine.
