For some reason, Cyberpunk will launch in whatever resolution it wants. I just fixed an issue where the game would launch in fullscreen but was zoomed in cutting off everything that wasn't in the center by fumbling through the settings menu to force fullscreen. This is how my game launches after playing the next day. I cant get to any of the menu options on the left side of the screen to get to settings to change to full screen. ALT+enter does not work. The user settings JSON can not be found in the file folder.

****The screenshot is not uploading. Basically, the game is in windowed mode pushed into the top left corner of my screen. On the main menu screen, all i can see is the tv and the coffee table in the background and the "My Rewards" button. Everything else is not visible, and when trying to go through the settings, too much missing to determine what page i am on.

The only thing that remedies the problem is to mouseover the game's icon on the taskbar, right click on the preview to get the context menu to show up, use the down arrow key to select 'Move', then hit alt+tab. This will make the game window take up the left half of my screen, but it makes the top of the window visible and allows me to drag the window over to fit on the screen.

Now i can see the menu options clearly. Windowed and Windowed Borderless both have an asterisk next to them, but full screen does not. Any changes to the windowed mode settings will make the game window disappear. When it reappears, it is back to the top left of the screen again and i have to repeat the previous steps to make the window fit the screen again.

I found the user settings JSON in the %AppData% folder, but changing the settings in there do nothing as it reverts the window mode and i's dynamic? no' changes made back to the way they were originally. i even tried lowering my native resolution, changing the resolution and assigning "Fullscreen" in the JSON, opening the game, moving the window, set the windowed mode in the game settings to fullscreen, moving the window, and then closing the game. I set the native monitor resolution back to the recommended value. I was thinking this would change the spot where the window would appear, but it only affects how much of the top left of my screen is occupied by the bottom right portion of the game window. The lower the resolution, the bigger the bottom right quarter, but i can only see the exact same bit of the opening menu. The software literally bullied me.

This is so scuffed I wouldnt call it a fix. But i can play the game now at least. Well i will be, as soon as i figure out wht the escape key isnt closing menues in game and i have to force quit and do the thing with the icon so i can drag the window over....
The fix for the escape key not working was not to change the key binding in the xml file, as the new key still would not exit the settings menu in game. Turns out, reloading an earlier save fixed it. Now i can exit the settings menu in game.

The fix to getting the game to launch in fullscreen was to increase the scale of text, apps and other items to 150% in the Settings > Display menu in Windows.

My god...
