the game never loads after updating to 2.1 and just keeps a black screen after the cyberpunk plash intro, game had no issues before 2.1
Try to delete the following folder "Cache" and the following file "UserSettings.json" under the following path (or move it to another folder).

%APPDATA%\LOCAL\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077

Caution: The UserSettings.json contains your settings that you have set in the options-menu in the game - so make a backup of it beforehand.

I have the same issue, deleting those files did not fix it for me. I shall keep investigating

I'll post my specs to see if there's a pattern:

Windows 11
Ryzen 5900x
RTX 3080

Latesd nVidia drivers, Windows is up to date as well.
Disable any screen recording software. I am using Mirilis Action! recording app and with it running in background, Cyberpunk would start into black screen.
My guess is it has something to do with screen overlay.

I'm not using any recording software, but thanks for the tip!
Turns out I had a "skip intro videos" mod installed - removing it fixed the issue. Remove the file from this location:

<GOG Install PATH>Games\Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod
The very first thing to try if a game fails to load after a patch, make a copy of the whole game folder, and then try reinstalling it from scratch.
