Brand new Intel NUC x15 Laptop with 3070 1440p windows 10.

Installed all the required drivers including Nvidia game ready driver 512.15. I have re-installed 3 times, installed on windows 11 and 10, lowered the graphics settings in game, tried older drivers, ran in admin mode and selected disable full screen optimisations. I have tried deleting the BIN folder and verifying files. Reinstalling C++ distributables, switched off overlay in GOG and I do not have Nahimic Audio.

I have run Heaven benchmarks and the GPU seems to be working ok (but Im not really sure how to check 100%)

Im losing my mind here. I am seeing some black tearing on other games like Fortnite if that helps.

Anyone had this issue with crashes and found a fix?

Thanks!
Try downgrading to patch 1.5 and see if it works.

Tried it, the furthest I could get was to the intro scene where V is looking in the mirror.

I've tried so many different things I'm out of ideas.

Weird thing I played the game through on my old 7700/1060 laptop with no issues.

BTW...Is there a way to downgrade without downloading the whole 60gb+ again?

It may not work, but go to your Cyberpunk install folder, go to bin -> x64, right-click on Cyberpunk2077.exe and run it as Administrator.

Also, do you have any mods installed?

Thanks for the reply, yes have tried that and also tried disabling full screen optimizations.

No mods, that Im aware of at least...its a totally fresh install on a new GOG account. Its the only game I own in GOG.

Have you tried playing in windowed borderless mode (changed in the game options)?

Also, does the Windows error logs say anything?

Yes I have tried borderless mode, I've tried many different settings in the game thanks!

Im not really sure what to look for in the error logs to be honest. In Application under the Windows Logs in the Event Viewer, there are a lot of igccservice and Service (Service) under Source. Both say " PowerEvent handled successfully by the service." when I click on them but I cant see any more informationn that I understand.

Look in both Application and System. Run the game, check time, wait for crash and search the logs for Errors in that time period..

Without the logs it's just too many possibilites, from faulty hardware to buggy drivers ...

Thank you for your dedication in helping me with this, really appreciate it!

After running the game and watching the error log:

In System I got the "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

In Application I got "LiveKernelEvent 141"

Definitely sounds like a GPU driver issue.

When you installed your driver, did you did you do a Clean Install (got a checkmark in the driver installation)?
There could be some registry issue somewhere.

If doing a boot into Windows Safe Mode and using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to clean your system of all driver data sounds daunting, I'd recommend starting with doing a clean install of an older driver.
And start with an older, preferably WHQL driver. Also use default GPU settings, OC may also cause such problems.

Its a brand new laptop, I installed the latest drivers with GeForce Experience.

I already tried uninstalling all drivers (Intel/Nvidia) with DDU in safe mode.

I will try a clean install of older drivers.
For Nvidia drivers, I still run the older 496.76 for my RTX 3080, and I haven't had issues with Cyberpunk 2077 crashing, except when using mods that didn't work properly. I am also running game version 1.50, Hotfix 1 (I got a bunch of mods, and Hotfix 2 and 1.52 would break some of them).

Which Visual C++ redistributables do you have installed? Having for example only VC++2019 installed doesn't neccerily mean you also have VC++2017 installed, which a game might need to run properly (and some games might need several of them, depending on how well they are coded).

Also, while not relevant for Cyberpunk, there are also x86 and x64 VC++ redistributables, and older games would need the x86 ones, being 32 bit applications.

And this might be a longshot, but make sure to install the latest .NET Framework.

For checking GPU temps, you can use for example HWMonotor or MSI Afterburner (I use both - Afterburner for a custom GPU fan profile, and only HWMonitor shows me the VRAM temps).

I tried reverting back to to 496.76 and 1.5, checked .NET and C++. I ran Afterburner with Heaven to undervolt going down in increments of -100 and testing each time and still no luck.

I have contacted the shop to find out if they can help me any further but it may need replacing.

EDIT: When I disable the 3070, the game runs on the Intel Graphics.

This issue feels like the one I heard regarding crashing when using an ingame mirror, as the GPU is for some reason getting extremely taxed when rendering that scene.

Since you're using a laptop, which Power Profile are you using?

Assuming you're using the High Performance profile, would you be willing to try the "hidden" Ultimate Performance power plan? It is NOT recommended for laptops due to the extra power draw, but just for the sake of testing.

Also, does the game crash when using the onboard graphics? I expect like 2 FPS, but does it work?
