That EULA states that you accept and will use the "Origin Software / Origin Account".

That is DRM.

My Question :

Is that for "online only" or "at all times" ? ( EULA does not state )


P.S. : EULA also claims EA owns anything you make for this game. ( Copyright and IP ).

I can confirm that you don't need anything to play this. I just did.
I'm not sure about Crysis Wars though.

You don't need EA account. I hope that the EULA is an Origin leftover.

EALA's are not valid in my country so I never read them. :P

LOL that part about paternity is so bizarre. Is EA out of their mind? Or EA is trying to get our guardianship so that they can make some kind of crazy tech experiment with our kids. LOL I just cant believe this EULA is for real it looks like some kind of joke. If its really for real i think EA is trying to really take control of the world for the lulz.

In copyright terms, the right of paternity is the right to be identified as the author of a particular piece of work.

EULA's are simply guidelines. Please stop taking them so seriously, perhaps reach out to a lawyer if you want to know how something work.

The Origin reference has been in the EULA for EA games on GoG forever.

If you're that worried about it, keep a local backup of your GoG installers.

If offline installers, you need to download ALL parts to the SAME location then start installing.

I want to know more about DRM and this before buying it. I believe the mod I'd want to use with it can't be used on the Steam version. Is this DRM free or not? The mentioning of Origin in the EULA has me wondering.
