So this is old news I am sure, I have been wanting to play this game for a loooong time and I haven't because of this refresh rate thing.. NO I do not want to play in 1080p... I haven't wanted or needed to play games in that tired washed out resolution for years now..

I DID have a working solution for this game years ago but over a few rebuilds and some lost data, I no longer have it. Soo.. here I am.. I do not want to make the custom resolution, playing in windowed mode seems to make the game crash, hence the game crashing in the subject, seems in windowed mode the crysystem.dll and fmodex.dll are what is being reported in event viewer.. I have tried various dll downloads on this forum to no avail, the only thing I haven't really gotten to try is the HEX editor suggestion but since I have no knowledge of this or how to find and use the program suggested.. well here we are.. I will be fine with windowed mode if it wouldn't crash all the time.. alt+enter and i get 60fps but only after a few minutes, game crashes and I get the dll errors...

I have struggled playing with the 24hz just to see if I could get the game to crash but it never did.. each time I tried.. So i am thinking full screen will be fine at 4k,,, It is just so hard to play at 24fps and it gives me the worst headache.. I am playing on a Ryzen 3900x, 2080 super, x570 mobo.. so anyone with AMD that may have found some solutions please chime in.. I even tried reinstalling my steam copy and downloading a 64bin zip... but I only get no cd/dvd rom found message. so frustrating.. anyways.. thanks in advance. my last course of action I guess will be to try the custom resolution but this really never worked for me as well.. I wish someone would patch this game so it would work.. well someone did.. I just cant find where I got it from.. since it was years and years ago..

Considering the emphasis Crysis put on having the most beautiful graphics back in the day, I'm actually pretty surprised it doesn't support higher resolutions like 4K. How about 1440p?
