Since this game doesn't feature cloud save support, where is the savefile for it located so i can manually back it up?

edit:
Huh, I found it myself. It is in

...\Crypt of the Necrodancer\data\save_data.xml

Its really weird to see a game in 2017 that saves its data in the game folder instead of a seperate folder like
...\username\documents\saved games\gamename\

In the game installation folder?
No, it's not there on my Windows 11.

I installed the game on my new PC, imported the files in c:\users\USERNAME\appData\local\necrodancer and then I had the savegame from my old pc on my new pc. But deleting that folder did not delete my savegame. Weird. Only uninstalling the game and telling the uninstaller to also delete the saves got rid of my progress.

After reinstalling the gamer there is still no save file in my game installation folder.

There is another "save" file for the game, which is located in c:\users\USERNAME\appData\roaming\necrodancer. Here the game ist storing the overall game settings (resolution, lag compensation, button layout etc.).
