The game looks interesting and I bet it runs well on my netbook, which runs at 1024x600 res. Does this game support this resolution?
In game options list these resolutions: 512x384, 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768. I don't see a way to specify custom resolutions in the config file, but if you can live with 800x600 then it should work.
Also, depending upon what video card (and what drivers you are running), you can maintain aspect ratios while scaling.
I used to be able to do that with my ATI card. It would take whatever resolution was displayed, and then scale it to fit my monitor (while maintaining the aspect ratio), which was a necessity for a widescreen monitor. Unfortunately, AMD/ATI seems to have disabled that in the current version of their drivers.

My Acer netbook had no trouble maintaining the aspect ratio to 4:3 by pillarboxing. Although I don't know what system you're using, I pretty much believe you should have no issues setting this up. As far as I know, pretty much all laptops/netbooks have this option in thei video configuration panel.
I just bought the game (from work :D) and haven't installed it yet, my native resolution is 2560x1440... am I going to die?
I recently downloaded this as well, and It runs fine, except I can't specify a custom resolution. (Mine is currently 1366x768). Are you guys saying there is a way to specify this using my video configuration panel? How do i get to this magical panel?
Thanks!
This worked very well for me :
