I get a d3d message error and the game crashes. Any idea? I really want to play this one...

Every time I try to run it, the game crashes after the EA logo appears and it shows this error message: d3d initialization failed.

Weird, D3D error are usually DirectX related. My brother have the same problem when trying to play Diablo II on his laptop and installing DirectX 9 fix it.

Maybe you should try updating your Graphic Card driver and see if that fix the crashing. Tweaking in game graphical option might help too.

It runs when I disable the sound. Very strange. Will try to reinstall it.

If you still can't make the game working properly, you can also try to run the game as administrator and make the game running on compatibility mode, preferably Windows XP. If all else fail, maybe you should contact GOG support.

I'm running Windows 10 and had the same issue. Running the undying.exe in compatibility mode with Windows XP Service Pack 2 solved it. Game runs great.

That is helpful, but i only managed to run it after changing the video device to 3dfx and setting the resolution through the 3dfx configuration .exe
