A friend of mine installed a copy from their account of Claire's Quest and I have played a couple hours now. I am past the prologue and working on the first couple quests.
Before buy this game, since I have a new job and will be getting my first paycheck soon and have already figured out I'll have some discretionary funds for a couple new games after months of unemployment... Is this worth buying?
I am already seeing some alarming moments from this game and without giving too much away;
The writing seems...amateurish. Half-hearted. For instance and the only spoiler, lady Vane's insanity is way too over the top. It isn't relatable and the game music on loop in the background just drives home how annoying it is.
Also, will Claire ever be useful for anything like a fight or is this where this game is unique? Pure pacifist resolutions to problems?
How long is this game?
I have played a couple "adult RPG/RPGMaker games" that are absolute garbage. Either repetitive game loops, bad writing and horrible execution on a mature themed RPG.
My friend has not said anything else and just wants me to experience it for myself.

I gave it try becasue sounded intresting ive got to say how did this get past the censors I have to be honest this has most graphic and down right wrong sceans ive seen in adult game in a long time. The story and game play could been quite cleaver the idea your just trying to survie but the amount of r*&e in the first ten mintues plus they trying to inply
some very dark and boarding on the illegal content Who earth thought hmmm this make good game. There clearly fantasy about certin subjects way it been written and done like I say I wouldnt purchase this or anything simler :(
