You're going abit over board...
I have Microsoft Security Essentials too, and it doesn't delete this file at all. It leaves it alone, just as it should. Not sure why it would with yours.

But many games have their DRM left over after they go DRM free. Just one example, Ubersoldier 2 still has Starforce stuff in it, even though it's DRM free, and the Starforce is not active. There's other games, that one just came to mind first.

Just because it has it's DRM leftovers, does not mean it's active, nor that it's harmful to your computer. If you have trouble with it, just put it on your excluded list and enjoy the game.
could the DLL be cross infected from a current malware infection? MSE has lost a lot of cred and doesn't even rank on current av charts. Avast even with all there promotional crap is the best free av your going to get... on the flip G-Data is the cheapest and best payfor out there now.
