Hi everybody,

I need a hint from you. Which part should I play first? Assault on Dark Athena or Escape from the Butchers Bay? Are the plots of these two episodes related or do they base on each other in any way?
Escape from Butcher's Bay was the first game, so if you're the type to want to experience the story from the start, play that one first.

On the one side it seems logic to play the first part first. On the other hand I have heard many times that Butchers Bay is the far better title and I don't want to get disappointed playing the worse part afterwards.
Storywise (canon events only), it goes:

Escape From Butcher Bay
Assault on Dark Athena

Then the films follow on as below:

Pitch Black
The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury (35 minute animation)
The Chronicles of Riddick
The Chronicles of Riddick: Dead Man Stalking (hopefully being released in 2013)
