Starting the game under Win7/x64 always produces an error message, stating that the OpenGL ICD 'GDI Generic' will be used.
After hitting Okay, the next error appears, stating that the game needs driver support for OpenGL 1.3 or higher.
I recently (4 wks) updated my drivers, I installed the June 2012 DirectX-Package, tried compatibility modes, Administrator mode, reinstall, AV on/off, nothing seems to work.

And I cannot find any separated and upgradeable OpenGL drivers for an ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO.

Any ideas?

Have you installed the latest Catalyst driver for your 2000 series card?
First, I had not. Then, I had. Insalled and used.

But: no effect. Still the same error messages, and inevitable crash.

Funny thing though: A borrowed EfBB-DVD installed and startet just fine. So I think there may be something else that just creates this error msg, but I'll be damned if I know what that is...
Update:

"Program has crashed with an unhandeled exception.

Starbreeze CCException

Location: classCRenderContextGL::Create
Message: Insufficient Open GL Version
Source Pos: .\MRndrGL.cpp(807)"

Don't know if this gives any ideas, if so... well... Because right know, I spent money on a game I want but cannot play it.
And another update.... this is getting ridiculous...

ATI Radeon 2400 HD Series has theoretically support for OpenGL 3.1

For some reason, my system only works with OpenGL 1.1

And I cannot find ANY support for this on any Site I know. If anyone has any idea, please let me know.

So I know this is old but I had the same problem and could not find an answer on the net, so for anyone else who has this problem, here's how to fix it.

I'm running a Radeon x1300/ x1500. My driver was supposedly up to date according to amd and windows. What I had to do was download the ATI Catalyst-10-2-legacy-vista32-64-dd-ccc drivers. Use 7zip to extract the files into a folder. Update your driver manually with the choose location of the driver option. Go onto the folder you made and find the folder marked $_OUTDIR, go into it and into the folder marked Packages, then into the folder marked Drivers, then into the Display folder. There you'll see two folders. LH_INF and LH6A_INF. One folder is for 32 bit one is 64 bit. Your driver will be in there. 32 bit is CL_95951.inf. Simply click it and install it and yay open gl works!!!! This took almost six hours of research on the net to figure out and I only got the idea from a post about the same problem with minecraft. I would guess that this would also fix the problem with COR Butcher's Bay Director's Cut.

This also made my graphics card run better. Took out some of the lag in other games as well.
