Althaluus: I have been attempting to purchase Carmageddon MAX Pack since 31st of July 2012, but.. I still cannot. And the user ratings came at that exact date. If I am not mistaken, user ratings can only be submited AFTER the game is released.

Is anyone else experiencing this kind of a problem? Seeing the user ratings and still not able to purchase the game?

As someone said. "Better to ask questions now than never".
Maybe they don't want to sell it until they know it works on every system

BoneofMalkav: I noticed that too. It's gotta be a glitch in the system somewhere.
Yeah, it was a glitch, but should be fixed now.
I'm still waiting for the game, but I have a question.

Do you have problems with the timer running too fast? I have this problem (I already have the original Carmageddon, but without the Splat Pack). However, this is the Windows version. GOG.com will possibly offer the DOS version for obvious reasons.

I'm going to buy the game on GOG for two reasons:
1. The Splat Pack is included!
2. It's in English. My version is in Polish (it's uncensored, but for this game I prefer the English version).

Do you run it with the -hires command line?

e.g.: "C:\Program Files\Carmageddon\carmav.exe" -hires

Yeah. Without this command the game refuses to work - I'm getting this error message:
"Unable to setup DirectDraw - please check that DirectX is installed'.

BTW, the exe in my game is called Carm95.exe. Also, third and fourth option in compatibility settings (disable visual and desktop composition) must be enabled, otherwise the game will get a broken palette.

Then I think your computer is just too fast, you could try moslo to slow it down.

Thanks, it worked. However, not without some adjustments. After making few edits to the ddraw.ini created after running the game with this new ddraw.dll file to the Carmageddon folder, I was able to fix the timer.
1. windowed=true. Changed to false so the game will run on full screen.
2. maxfps=0. Changed to 25. This fixed the timer.

Overall, thanks guys. However, I will still wait for GOG version of the game. I'm hoping for quick release!
omg i really cant wait much longer:D. It will be instant buy and instant install&play. AWESOME game
I can't wait to play this again. I last played Carma 1 around the age 7 or 8... and I'm 22 now!
