hey people, this is my first time posting here and even using gog.
i'm having a problem running carmageddon in hardware or at full screen. the game loads up and i can here the start up video and stuff but the screen goes blank, then if i try to get back to windows its still the same and the only way to get the screen back to see what im doing is to pull the power out the monitor and plug it back in again?????

if someone could help me i would be most thankful

First of all, in control panel>power settings, try setting the monitor so it never turns off.

This definitely sounds like an issue with the OS stopping sending the video signal or just putting displays to sleep.

Also, always post information about your hardware if you want to receive help, we can't guess what spec are you running.
yes that would be a good start haha, sorry as i said im new to all this posting and stuff.

just to update i tried switching the monitor so it never turns off but still the same thing, something tells me im stuck playing this like im back in the 90's on my win 3.1 486 machine haha

You can try the Experimental Win95 patch in the meantime.
Best is not to have Carmageddon installed in %:\Program Files% for this.
i tried the win95 patch but no joy, same thing happens.
its gotta be something to do with my graphics card somehow but not sure what.
thanks for the help guys anyway, maybe someone will have the same problem and work a way out to fix this
Just letting you guys know i found a way round the problem.
I found a post about downloading nglide and changing some stuff in the .dir and it works full screen with a high res...... it looks the nuts now. Anyway just wanted to say thanks and taking the time to post advice and stuff guys
