Ok. I was reading the comic book that was attached as a bonus to the Director's Cut. The thing is, the guy buys a souvenir for... 10 euros.
The game was made in 1996 and I assume it takes place around that year. I thought there were only francs back then.
Nothing important, but I think it's just silly. How could anyone have forgtten that euro hasn't been arround always?

The comic in BS2 has a large flat screen TV. So I suppose these anachronisms could be intentional.

The original is certainly set in 1996, but perhaps they intended the Director's Cut to be set around the time it was made? Unless there are date references in the DC that say it's set in 1996...

There is one thing that definitely means the game was not set in the present times. No one had a cell phone. :D But I don't recall any references being made to the date.
Since there are such scenes in both comic books, I think this could be intentional. Because neither this small souvenir, nor the tv has any significance for the story itself.

The Comics was made in 2009, that's why. Dave Gibbons didn't really think about what money they ahd in 1996. I have the Comic myself (BS: DC, BS2-R and BASS - won them on a Facebook Competition that Revolution had on their FB page BS - Official, They're Amazing)! :D

It seems like they deliberately tried to make the Director's Cut take place in 2009. It's not only the comic: they removed a line where the flower lady says the flowers cost a certain amount o francs, or the lines where the templars talk about "the upcoming millennium", among others.
