I'm trying to put it into a medium service station (my first).
I've got energy, air, comm and research in there as well as some boxes down on the door side.

No matter what I do or how I rotate it, the toilet will not show placeable. :-O

Any idea why?
I think I figured this out.

For some reason the devs made the different compartments of the space stations you can build only be able to build modules with the matching symbol on them.

This is utterly pointless!

An actual space station would be as modular as possible and would be able to fit any equipment.

i find it a refreshing mechanic for a base building game, and the symbols should be self explanatory in my opinion..

It's all relative in this game. I wouldn't go so far as to say that feature was utterly pointless - that phrase I'd reserve for the space shuttle airlock... ;)
