Help i just got the Zangetsuto and the in the room where i am supposed to slash the moon there is no moon, i tried re installing and checking file integrity but to no avail...

I have no alternate saves and even if i had the moon disappeared pretty early in my run and i didn't care since i thought it was useless, heck i even tried nocliping my way to the next area

It seems like you skipped a step.

You need to fight the boss at the top of the castle and it needs to resolve without getting a game over screen.

Hint: Simply killing that boss won't work; you need to use a certain item that you currently have at a certain point in the fight.
