I have to do my best to articulate how disappointed I was in this game, and to start with, lets just say I left the game mid level so I could come on here to review it!
I was very excited when I saw the two Bloodraynes on gog.com because at their time of release I was too busy to play them. I devoured the first one with great relish and gave that quirky game at least 4 out of 5 stars for fun and originality. Then excitedly I downloaded the second game! Having followed a little of its development I was keen to follow up the second with improved game play and graphics. WRONG WRONG WRONG.
The word sequel, is not the word I would use to describe this. The word "replace" is the key word for this review.
They replaced the fun quick dodging movement and speedy exciting game play with ........ BLOCK
They replaced ripping up Nazis and monsters with thugs and femmes with exactly the same models as you..
They replaced being the deadly femme fetale with frustratingly difficult movements and humans that go toe to toe with you with fists.... WHAT
They replaced guns and auto aiming with........... what ever the crap they are and aiming so bad you don't even BOTHER using it
They replaced the smooth control mechs with a DUMBED DOWN yet strangely complicated up console movement that has no place on either console or pc!!!
Yes its more of the same hot sexy vampire that gets into lots trouble etc but in such an awful package its hardly worth it!
I really wish I had read a review of this before purchasing, because the memory of this game will linger on longer then the awful EVVE BOLL FILM!!
