I asked if GoG had any intention of offering a multiplayer service for peer client games like Blood and Duke Nukem had with TEN, MPlayer, Kali and HEAT. Sadly I got the following reply:
Hello

I'm afraid that we are not going to start such service in the nearest future.

Ouch!
"Ouch!" is right. Very straight forward, cold answer.
I think the site and the Blood community would have really, really benefited from this.
Oh well, it was definitely worth the try. I guess we are just waiting for Jace's port now...
Honestly, any game that is sposed to include MP that uses dosbox has MP support more than likely.

Now you may have to use hamachi or sumthang to pull it off but it definitely works.

As I have tried coop over the internet with One Unit Whole Blood. & it works great. I did use hamachi but w/e.

Oh, it works, no lie in that. It's just that it would be nice to have a game service dedicated to the task that we used to have with MPlayer etc. to streamline the whole process. It would also be nice to have it installed and configured along with Blood, so people don't have to go hunting around for a solution.

Blood isn't client/server based so all parties that want to start a Bloodbath need to be present at the start of the game. Hamachi kinda works as a game lobby system but it's not dedicated to it. Even Blood II doesn't have a master server to report to, so anyone interested in a casual game would have to be lucky to see any servers available.
