the damn thing is running just a bit too fast for me and I'm getting motion sickness from it. I remember the game being kinda zippy back when it was new, so GOG's settings could be the "correct" settings, but I really need to slow down the game's clock just a little bit.

If I remember right, Ctrl-f11 slows the number of cycles, while Ctrl-f12 increases them.

Alternatively you could increase the game's resolution in the options. That should have about the same effect as lowering the CPU cycles and additionally make the game look a little prettier. I think 800x600 would be a decent choice.
