I'm trying to change MouseButton1 = "Move_Forward" to MouseButton1 = "Weapon_Special_Fire", and MouseButton2 = "Weapon_Special_Fire" to MouseButton2 = "Move_Forward" in an effort to change the function of right-clicking from moving forward to alt-firing. The problem is, whenever I try to save the .cfg file afterwards, a message pops up reading, "Save failed: Please check whether if this file is opened in another program". The file isn't open anywhere else, and I don't have the game running, so I have no idea why this message is popping up and preventing me from saving my changes to the file. Is there any way to get around this? Thanks!

If you are on Windows 7, it's probably UAC doing it's job & blocking random edits in Program Files. Right-click on your notepad link (or whatever text editor you prefer) and select "Run as administrator", and then open your Blood.cfg through notepad's File menu.
I was able to edit the file, but the controls remained exactly the same in-game.

Did the changes stick when you opened it up in Notepad again? You could also try to run Blood's configuration program, Setup, and make the changes there.
