i cannot buy anything at any store. Must be the interface that is bugged.

Seems to be a known problem with the game right now. Today's hotfix on Steam sounds like it adresses this bug (Moving items around in inventory no longer prevents items from being purchased during bartering). So let's hope the fix makes it to GOG sometime soon.
