I have tearing which is caused by V-sync being turned off I assume but I can't turn it on because whenever I open the settings the screen gose black

Anyone know how to fix it?

Can you force v-sync for the game through your graphics card's settings?

You didn't specify what type of card you had but I know this is possible with NVIDIA cards through the NVIDIA control panel.
