Hey there
I just beat the game and was wondering where the save files were saved. Cause I would like to copy them on my external hard drive for further use.
Thanks for your help
PS : played on Windows 7

It seems save files are SKY-VM.XXX, where XXX are ordinal numbers, like 000, 001, 002, etc...
Plus SKY-VM.SAV and SKY-VM-CD.ASD might be of some need too, but I'm not sure.

Considering the game is less than 100 megs, why not just back up the entire folder instead of trying to find out which files are saved game data?

We all have our reasons, don't we? (i.e. for online backup would prefer 100 KB instead of 100 MB)

BTW you can uninstall the game using GOG installer - it will ask if you'd like to keep save games, and then you may just transfer what's left.

Windows 7 has a nasty habit of redirecting your savegames to a virtual store location. Check this thread to find it (post by Namur):

By the way, you can avoid this by installing the game somewhere other than Program Files.
I have a similar question. I just bought a new laptop and wanted to transfer my save files but on win8 I can't find the folder to transfer to. I even restarted a new game and saved to see if it would great but I can't find anything.
Why not just use a tool like Game Save Manager?
