1. I would like to play multiplayer BZ2 over the internet like I was able to back at the turn of the century. Back then, however, it was necessary for all the players to be using the same mods. That made things pretty complicated including requiring the naming of games to include version information,etc. I'd rather not have that. Which resource Steam or GOG is most likely a match to my desire for simplicity in that regard?
2. Supposing one or the other Steam or GOG "standardizes" BZ2 game-play will most of those who play the game instead seek a means to keep altering it and so essentially obsolete the standardized version for lack of players?
