Has any one of you managed to beat this level? I have tried it at least 30 times but I always get overwhelmed.

I figure you need to capture either the depot in the southeast or the factory in the northwest, but I cannot get there in time with my units. By the time the first wave is destroyed, the AI is already too near the buildings. With both those extra units in enemy hands, the map becomes impossible to win.

The HQ has 3 energy units and there are no aldinium deposits on the level. What possible avenues are there to win?

Thanks in advance.

This is a very difficult level, but it is actually possible to capture both the depot and the factory. You just need to get the two transports throug the first wave of enemies.

A tactics that worked for me (might need several attempts) :
1) Move your transport and one tank to next to the enemy infantry in the east, move the other tank NE to the forest (see attached images), and get the other units out of the HQ
2) Attack the infantry with both units
3) Move the other transport next to the infantry,
4) you should be able to finish off the infantry unit.
5) both your transports (you didn't forget to load infantry into them, right?) and at least one of the tanks should have a clear way towards the depot and the factory.
In the meantime, you should take care of the enemy infantry in the forest that is going for your HQ.
You should be able to capture the depot by turn 11, using the empty transport and the tank to hold off the enemy so you can get the units out before they recapture the depot.
In the north, you should be able (with a bit of luck) to get your infantry to the factory. You might want to let the enemy capture it first and then move in, rather than the other way around.
Once you have both the factory and the depot, you should be able to win.

Thanks a lot for the great detailed description.

I never managed to get the initial AI troops to open up like that for my transports. Hopefully this will help others as well.

In the meantime I managed to win the scenario, by sacrificing all my units to allow my two transports with the infantry to get to the factory in the northwest. I got there only once the AI has captured it, but managed to get it, repair my infantry units (by this time with max experience) and rush to the enemy HQ while the AI was distracted by my initial transports. They made short work of the buggies defending the base and by the time the enemy tanks arrived, I captured their HQ and won.

For some reason the AI never went for my HQ with its infantry, even though it had ample opportunities to do so.

Only 3 more to go from Data Disk 1!

I´m reading this thread with interest because I have the smae problem: until now I beat every single level in Battle Isle or this Data Disk in the first try and very easy...but level DONOR is the one I lost twice and it seems impossible to me...I will use your hints and try again...thank you, guys...
