Does anyone know where the game saves out screen resolution and positioning? I could not find anything myself. No mods installed.


Windows 7 64bit, dual monitors, everything working fine. My main monitor dies so I am down to one monitor which has a different display aspect. Now the left side of the screen in Baldurs Gate is off screen.

Its not in the actual game itself, when you start up you should be getting the BG launcher, where you have the options to start game etc, one of the options will be config or options or something like that, click it and you will be taken to the configuration where the resolution settings should be.

Thanks for the reply Flintlock, I checked the configure menu you mentioned on the launcher, but it only contained keyboard shortcuts and a handful of other options, of which screen size was not one of.

I think I will try a reinstall.

Sorry just checked it myself and yeah its not there, I think I must have been thinking of BG2. I don't think there is anywhere you can change it in BG2, you might want to try the widescreen mod to see if that makes any difference but that might just make things worse (plus you'd need to start from the beginning again as your saves won't work, if you have saves you'd prefer to keep then the reinstall sounds like your best option). Sorry I couldn't be of any more help.
