I literally hate him. I hate his constant loud battlecries. He is a good in combat, but otherwise he is so annoying and I cannot stand him anymore, I just cant. Is there a way to mute him for good?

Does that mute everyone, or can you select specific party members to mute?

Everyone or no-one.
You, Boo and I. Hamsters and rangers everywhere, rejoice!
If you hate him, just drop him. Surely you can find someone else to fill his shoes. I always drop Minsc as soon as I get out of the starter dungeon. He has no character quest and misses a useful inventory slot for Boo. He was amusing in BG1 (but not as amusing or useful as his witch), but I don't see any good reason to keep him in BG2.

As far as I remember, he has some funny interactions with Jan Jansen. But yeah, one can easily live without him in BG2.

And I agree that he was funnier in BG1; it feels like in BG2 they went over the top with him. I usually stick with him but mostly for nostalgic reasons.
Easy, just create some empty files: minsc10.wav, minsc11.wav, minsc12.wav and drop them into override directory.
That's battlecries, for other sounds check his cre with NearInfinity or DLTCEP.
Kill him. Or just release from the party.
