Just downloaded and installed BG2 from GOG but there are gltiches with the graphics at the intro screens?

Solved the text glitch, seems I had to turn off 3d Acceleration in the config file, this has now slowed the game (including opening menu) whereby it is now unplayable ..... any suggestions?

Hmm just d/l onto my desktop PC and BG2 works fine as intended. The above posts refer to my laptop, any ideas?
