Hello i have the original disks for Baldurs gate and well at a certain point in the game i believe south of Baldurs gate the game just suddenly crashes and stops. and there nothing i can do. is there a fix or a patch for this?

"South of Baldur's Gate" is the entire map! :confused:

Anyway, there are certain areas that are prone to crashing (Beregost is one). There is a fix available for that particular annoyance, but there are other fixes and patches, too.

However, your best bet is to install something like EasyTuTu or BGT, which incorporates most of the fixes available, and allows you to play BG1 in the superior BG2 engine.
