I've been trying to play this game multiplayer with a friend, but for some reason we can not connect to each other. We got it to work on the same local network just fine, but now online we can't get it to work. We both tried forwarding the ports 2300-2400 and 6073, turning off firewalls, and even using hamachi. Nothing seemed to work. Any ideas?

This is a very common bug that has to do with modern operating systems. It happens on the CD version, too. Try using GameRanger, a lot of folks have found that it worked for them.

Every time we click start in gameranger it instantly says the host aborted the game. Any ideas?

nevermind, figured it out. I was clicking baldurs gate instead of tales of the sword coast. thanks!
