Hello everyone,
I'm struggling to decide whether to buy BG3 now or wait a few months for a sale. I'm mainly interested to play it with my wife in the same house but would like to skip on split screen when we are in different rooms.
Will we be able to host a game and join it in the same local network with a single copy of the game?

I didn't test, but this is looking promising: there is a real LAN mode in the game, and it's GOG so you have access to an offline installer (outside of Galaxy) build of the game anyway.

Having tested it, yes you can.
Just make sure you have the same version of the game.
