ussnorway: yes the patch 3 is 62G
yes Larian blatantly lied both on their own forum and the twitter feed that the new patches will not be so big

no there is no good reason behind having to download the entire game to get what amounts to 6 G of changes... they just don't give a fuck about Gog and didn't bother to cut the patch back like they did for Steam

yes gog servers are overloaded (go figure) yes patches will crash when the load to your network gives up and yes people with ok networks or a tunnel can get the entire patch from gog... i have mine :)

yes downloading this new game \ patch will make your saves stop working and yes rolling back will let you use those saves but thats a shit load of extra downloading so I'd make a back up instead of getting it off the net if thats something you want to try

hope that clears some of this train wreck up for you guys
It is clear already, but how it happened just made me pick Cyberpunk on Steam. I can't afford to download zillions of gb every patch.

Well, if there is one game that will (should?) be administered and maintained better on GOG vs rival platforms, its Cyberpunk as CDPR own title. I would not buy this specific game on another PC platform unless you have a strong preference or get a bargain.
Got this from Raze via email, so we can hope it will be fixed:

AFAIK it should be the same (and there is no patch.pak file in the install), but I had Steam on the test branch for the update for a while, so can not check the download size (without switching branches 3 more times). I'll ask QA...

Actually, the Steam update size was indeed 6.2GB. I'm not sure why Galaxy is downloading basically the full build, but there are changes planned for the next major update to reduce this problem.

I hope it happens but Larian said the same thing after the last patch and as you can see it's still happened.

It would be lovely and appreciated if GOG prioritised the offline installers with the same urgency as Galaxy. I don't understand the obsession with Galaxy - if anything, Galaxy makes GOG too similar to Steam. Whereas standalone DRM free installers are unique. Go figure.
Another patch is out, and is downloadable on its own. But not the previous one, so I'm stuck with version 4.1.85.5707 which I can only "update" by downloading the full game... with my bandwidth it'd take three days, admitting it'd not freeze during that time.

Any way to patch the game to the last version without downloading the entire game once again?

Thank you!
I had a problem with the latest HOTFIX#5 and the work around I used for that, may help you.

I went Manage Installation from the symbol at top and then > verify/repair after checking it downloaded 205Mb and then I was all up to date.

Really hope it helps

after verify process, it really downloaded something - 209mb https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/228558710748872705/786648862731403294/unknown.png but then "available updated" popped out https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/719216966572703744/786650495196463134/unknown.png ... so I'm stuck on old version =/
this is my last purchase on gog...
i like to support game developers, but when even pirates get updates faster than genuine buyers it's very disappointing.
