So Galaxy is having the usual hiccups. :)

I am downloading manually.

My question is regarding the patch files...are they needed?

From what I can see, the version I am DL is Patch 9 Hotfix 3?

And the patches seem to be older than that.

I'm guessing based on the filenames but was wondering if someone who has done the manual DL already would confirm.

The full version # of the current installer is: "4.1.1.2354614 Patch9_HF3 EA". This matches the version ID of the latest patch. So we are good without the patch.

1 galaxy server is working again to download BG3
2 no you don't need the patch for a fresh install... they are there for people that had patch 8 or less
3 you may find the game files mismatched
