I had Baldur's Gate 3 installed on my MacBook Air (M2, 2022) was able to play it. Randomly one day it stopped launching. The app would immediately crash when I pressed play...it wouldn't even begin to open.

As a troubleshooting step I did an uninstall. When I tried to reinstall I got the following message:
"Not enough free space on disk Macintosh HD"

As you can see from the attached image, I have more than double the required free space to install the game.

I've tried enabling full disk access to the GOG Galaxy app in the macOS privacy settings and restarting but it didn't help.

This issue doesn't occur when I try to install other games from the Galaxy app...

Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas for further troubleshooting steps?

My macOS version is 12.6 (21G115)

is the Larian launcher allowed full access too?
also check Galaxy settings to see where temp install files are being placed... big games like BG3 need to unpack files after downloading them

I just encountered the same issue on my MacBook Pro M3 Pro / 18GB / 260GB free disk space. The offline installer files are no alternative either, unless you have time to manually download 54 installer files wtf. Maybe if developers would concentrate more on debugging their games instead of forcing in another 20GB of DEI drivel, gaming wouldn't be in the sorry state it is right now,

Sorry for the rant. Haven't found a workaround yet, but am really displeased.
So, I bought an external SDD with 1 TB of extra space and it installed BG3 without complaining. it seems the game needs the extra space for downloading and unpacking, but come on. 120 GB+ of disk space on top of the actual install is pretty ridiculous. I'm sure there are ways of managing disk space more efficiently.

Fortunately, storage is cheap, but I can understand your frustration. There really is a shocking amount of data in this game.
