I have BG3 installed on my desktop PC that runs Windows 10. That install works great with zero issues. I also wanted to install BG3 on my ROG Ally that runs Windows 11, but have encountered a lot of issues. Both devices are fully updated. Neither are running weird anti-virus, only the standard windows security stuff.

Installing BG3 via GOG on my ROG Ally is where I encountered the "stuck at 92%" issue. I followed all five methods on the support page for that specific issue.

Eventually, method #5 sort of worked, but GOG doesn't see my BG3 install. Even if I use the scan feature and point it at the GOG Galaxy directory, GOG Galaxy\Games directory, or GOG Galaxy\Games\Baldurs Gate 3 directory, GOG doesn't find any games.

If I try to launch BG3 via the GOG Galaxy\Games\Baldurs Gate 3\Baldur's Gate 3 Launcher file, that loads the Larian Launcher, but then I see a message about "mismatched files". Since GOG doesn't see my BG3 install, I cannot use the "verify / repair" feature to try fixing it.

Another potentially game-breaking issue occurs if I launch BG3 from the Larian Launcher. The game loads fine, but when I'm in the starting in-game menu, my cloud saves do not sync and I am given the option to log into my Larian account. The Larian Launcher remembers my account and keeps me logged in, but the game itself does not.

If I log into my Larian account from within the starting in-game BG3 menu, my cloud saves load successfully. However, when I load my latest save file, my in-game tutorials reset along with all my game settings. Additionally, I wind up with an extra Traveler's Chest when I go to camp along with an extra set of in-game DLC deluxe items (shapeshifter helm, cape, etc). The extra gear doesn't bother me, but this happens again and again. I now have 3 Traveler's Chests that follow me if I go to a different area and a different camp. I also have 3 sets of the in-game DLC deluxe items.

My concern is this will eventually break the game once I get to having 4, 5, 6, or more Traveler's Chests. My "send items to camp" feature only sends items to the most recent Traveler's Chest, and if the game isn't prepared to find placement for half a dozen Traveler's Chests, I'm worried I'll eventually send stuff to camp and the items disappear because the game couldn't load so many Traveler's Chests.

I travel a bit and really want to play seamlessly between my PC and ROG Ally without risking breaking my game. I'm only playing one character right now. I also have never played multiplayer or co-op, and my privacy settings make it so that people can only join via invite, so this issue isn't due to any multiplayer bugs.

On top of that, I will have to manually update the game on my ROG Ally any time there's a new patch which is kind of annoying. I was hoping GOG would work just fine on my ROG Ally since it works perfectly on my PC.

Does anyone have any thoughts? I have now tried installing BG3 on my Ally at least 8 times, so I'm hoping to figure this out and make the next attempt ideally the last time I have to go through this process.

I appreciate your time and am happy to provide any info that might help. I already submitted a ticket to GOG on Thursday but haven't heard back from them yet. I was going to wait until Tuesday to follow up with them again. I really wish I'd bought this game on steam at this point.
