Yes GOG is (MUCH) smaller than Steam. And thus slower etc. It is known.

I don't see it. Last I read:

Have you looked at the store page?
Currently the latest MacOS version on Steam and Gog is EA Patch 9.
If you are in the position where you are threatening a refund, why not just use the game porting toolkit? It's easy af with Whiskey and the performance is excellent. And that line about supporting the mac development with a mac version purchase is irrelevant on GoG, they can't tell which you bought.
