Hi, when joining other's games my name is simply "Public". In the other game's i've gotten from GOG there is usually a registry file, a txt file or an ingame setting where I can change the Player Name (not the character's name).

This is the name that shows up when you join a server.

I've had a look in the files, configs, player saves but no matter what i change, it defaults back to 'Public'. There doesn't seem to be a place to change it in the actual game also.

Any help to this very 1st world and minor problem?

Quick little side note, I don't want to use GOG galaxy, and logging into the Larian launcher requires linking my GOG galaxy unfortunately, which i don't want to use...

you join multiplayer with your Larian account and that is linked to gog if you choice it... optional to have it and optional to link it but you can not play without it

also you need to be on the same build as everyone else

I would also like to change the "Public". your solutions don't work for me.
