Aldavere: I use Galaxy. What are you even talking about? I'm referring to GoG's inferior interface, much lower number of lobbies in Bg3/worse connectivity in general, and the fact that GoG didn't put up a patch for 4 hours after Steam did. This meant it wasn't possible to play with friends using the Steam version of the game since the version didn't match. Using Galaxy doesn't help with any of that.
StingingVelvet: Oh, I assumed you meant the serious delays with the offline installer patches. Haven't really noticed a delay via Galaxy, but I guess one hit ya at the exact wrong time. Bummer.
That said you I think Galaxy works great in general and you seem a bit overly mad about other minor things. With 80 hours gametime I really don't think you deserve a refund either, no offense.
I understand the perspective. It's mostly that I wouldn't have gotten the game on GoG if I had known there were going to be these issues. And I wouldn't have gotten the game on Steam if I knew GoG was going to resolve it on Monday. Could have been avoided if they had communicated better with all the people dealing with problems around the DDE and multiplayer. There's even another thread where people are having issues with the connectivity as I mentioned.
I think the justification of the refund is that not only did GoG not provide what was promised on release, they failed to communicate about it. If they had just said "people are off for the weekend, we'll fix it on Monday", I would've waited. But I've read enough horror stories of people having to wait weeks or months on GoG support tickets that I didn't have faith it would get addressed, especially since there was no word on a fix. I assumed I could be in a situation where it took weeks to get resolved. At that point, it just made more sense to refund and go elsewhere to have less headache and make my dissatisfaction clear.
