Hadak_Ura: I believe m4dhat was looking for an answer to his question and not a strawman argument.
alcaray: How do you usually answer a question like: "When you have dialogue options, you'll probably always have "progressive" options, are alternatives to those options cartoonishly evil or hostile?"
Isn't this squarely in the category of did-you-stop-beating-your-wife questions?
Can you show me how exactly it would be in that category of questions? Genuinely, I would be extremely entertained to see what sort of logical process you'd need to go through to even compare the two.
The question I asked was designed purely to gather useful information. It would require a painful amount of mental conditioning to even be able to misconstrue that question. I asked about a symptom of what I'm interested about. I can ask about the essence of it if you'd prefer. The essence of it is - is the writing in the game suffering from strong ideological bias to such a point that it's incapable to honestly and genuinely showcase a nuance of human (or non-human character) complexity? And no - "you're able to murder everyone" is not human complexity. An no - "checking on youtube" is not possible without spoiling myself a significant amount of the story. The knowledge I was attempting to gain is best gained from an amalgamation of opinions.
My original question was to Yidgboz because from what he wrote it appeared to me that he would be able to give an informed answer. Instead of getting an answer about the quality of writing in the game though I'm getting more and more unsolicited political opinions and views from people, whose political opinions and views interest me not at all. I really don't care about politics, it's not a political forum, it's a forum about a video game.
I'm just going to continue ignoring posts about politics and hope that someone reasonable shows up to answer the question.
