my first time buying a game on GoG not yet released so i wanted to ask if the GoG launcher prefetches the game automatically in backround before the release (like steam does) or will i have to download it once the time comes?

neither Gog or Steam prefetch bg3... they can both do it for games that allow that but Larian has not made their mind up yet
