Hello,

this is not a trivial technical issue and needs to be resolved by some professional software updates (publisher or Microsoft..).
With the latest Windows update for the 24H2 version (not the version itself, but an update for this version), the game cannot start. Not only that, the mouse is limited to an invisible window (I know this is not a special issue with some old games not working but), one can't even open the task manager over Ctrl + Alt + Del, and if one tries to do so over the Windows search field (after pressing the Windows button), the task manager cannot load. Basically the whole computer can't function properly and load anymore, even if one partly gets the mouse outside of the invisible field, and only pressing the power button for a hard reset works.
This issue disappears if I roll back the update. It appears again if I give the update another chance.

That aside, when I originally installed the game a few months ago, either I didn't have the issue that the game's animations ran way too fast (due to the game being so old) or resolved it with some basic steps. However since then this issue is there again and can't be resolved by compatibility modes. But at least the game starts without issue if I remove the latest update, as mentioned.

I have a Ryzen 7800X3D, 32GB RAM and a GTX 1070 (for the time being), and Windows 11 is on a NVMe SSD. There is no lack of reactivity to this computer, and the Windows installation also was new (not an upgrade from a previous Windows 10).
