I just bought and installed Arma today, and the game does not seem to register it's own check points. For example, running the training course took 4 tries, each time having to reload it as it would not accept that I had reached the box. I started the main campaign, same thing. First map, I stood for 20 minutes waiting, finally gave up. Idiots just stood around with me, wasting my time.

So far, I'm unimpressed. A Game unplayable due to shoddy scripting doesn't impress me in the least.

*edit* Found that it's a bug with the helicopter crashing into the trees, rendering it unplayable. *sigh* and I was hoping to find a new FPS to play.

They released a hotfix not too long ago that fixed some of the 1.99 issues, including the opening-scene helo crash. Not sure if gog's version includes them yet.
