Thank you GOG for adding that game. It's one of my favourites of yesteryear. While I actually have the original disc it's ridiculously hard to get running correctly on any modern system (I managed it through dosbox but there were errors; especially the 3DFX version was really hard to get running) so I really appreciate just downloading it and running without fiddling with the settings :)

Is the GOG version using 3DFX then? I'd assume via nGlide like they've done so before. I managed to get it working in 3DFX using nGlide quite some time ago now, but I had to have vsync off otherwise the game would kind of stutter in a repeating pattern as if the frame rate was oscillating rather than steady.

Schleichfahrt/Archimedean Dynasty is one of my favourite games ever, downloading as I type this.

This stands as one of my most fondly remembered games of all times! And when I got it running on win7 around two years ago for a brief period it totally stood its ground! There is no other game with such an atmosphere! And the feeling when you upgrade to the next ship! Or finally can afford that sweet as Impact II cannon! Don't get me started about the brilliance of automated turrets on your sub and how you could upgrade the software (just why was that left out of the successors?!).

YES thank you very much GOG, i was waiting for this game since a long time; I have the original game (the original paper box with a special front art , working on dos 5.0 or windows 95 !) and i am grateful that it is now working on a modern computer. However you badly need the namual for this game !!! i have the big paper manuals (83 pages in french and the weapon book with 35 pages, packed with useful informations), and i am lucky, i haven't sold this game years ago, so they came handy right now !.

Would it be possible to scan it and provide some digital version ? ;) We collecting currently material to add for gog here: http://www.gog.com/forum/archimedean_dynasty/manuals

Even though I am usually fairly silent I have to chime in on this. Thank you so much for adding Schleichfahrt. It's probably my favorite game of all time due to its believable claustrophobic athmosphere as well as the degree of authenticity of the world, be it politics or technology.

Like a poster before me I also still own the original discs, the box and all manuals, but it is just so convenient to have it on GoG :)
