The cursor movement was super sluggish and imprecise when i first installed the game, and I just wanted to recommend anyone else who's having this issue try mouse2kv (http://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?t=1059) given how well it seems to work on my end. I may be nitpicky, but i would consider it a must for this game, especially given how much time you spend clicking on people/dialogue options in the various bases and ships and whatnot (I was about ready to pull my hair out before the first mission).
If you've never used it before, just extract the mouse2kv files to your Archimedean Dynasty folder, and then edit dosbox_ad_single.conf and replace "ad3dfx.exe" at the bottom with the mouse2kv start line (described in the Vogons link above. So mine says "MOUSE2KV.EXE 640 480 2 2 AD.EXE". I'm running the software mode exe though, so if you like the 3DFX version change AD.EXE to AD3DFX.EXE. The "2 2" part sets the sensitivity, so if yours is too high or low, lower or raise these numbers accordingly.)
