... I just reloaded NFS UG2 on my PC and noticed I had to download a fanmade mod to get it to work to force the game to use one core because it crashes with having modern multi-core processors. Does gog have any plans to get souce for old games so we can update them when they die or are the content with mere emulation? Lots of games could be updated by fans if they could get the source to these old games. Not only that it's in the interest of restoring the public domain esp when it comes to PC games. Many people around here probably have no idea what public domain is and how it's been stolen by corporations and bullshit lawyers, greedy game devs and publishers.

It would be great if GOG started a campaign to preserve and get source-code for these old games so we can update/modify/repair them for future generations instead of them being frozen in time behind stupid bs laws.
Eh, how is this related to Arcanum?
Sure, the game is old now but with UAP and a few tweaks with resolution Arcanum is perfectly playable on modern systems. The only major problem seems to be setting the right resolution however most players solve this sooner or later.

Most of the old classics I can think of right now had their source released.
There are also cases with source code being lost or that the company simply wanted to bury the game forever.
