Hey all, looking to do another playthrough of the game(it's been many, many years and I never finished it). My question is, as I want to play the game the way it was intended(original or upscaled resolution, as bug-free as possible but otherwise no content added), what is the best way to go about doing this? I have no idea what kind of patches exist for the game or what they change. Like I said I am looking for that pure vanilla experience without the game-breaking bugs. Also don't want a mod that would allow me to see more of the game world(like some high-res mods might do).

Thanks in advance guys if you can help me!

The Unofficial Patch is mostly unintrusive in the grand scheme of the game, and there are some optional bits you can ignore, however you won't be getting a purist experience, since it rebalances some things here and there and fixes some quests. If you can run the game at all without the patch, you can def go for it, but be prepared for some level jank that is alleviated with the patch. Widescreen mod should be fine either way, buuuuut the game really wasn't meant to be played in resolutions that didn't exist in early 2000's. IDK I've never had a problem with the patch comparing my experience back in the day to my most recent playthrough. I recommend both patches, but it's totally up to you if you can run Arcanum as is without hassle. Regardless, you can def ignore the Multiverse mod, since it's quite the overhaul.
