Hi,

I've completed the first quest for Maxim where he is supposed to give me a medical arachnid as a reward.

When I check my inventory I have nothing. I've checked on the ground and in my followers inv's without success.

Also in the messaging following me handing over the quest item I get no indication of recieving the arachnid only an offer to train me as master in repair.

Have I hit a bug or is there something else I need to be in skills, number of followers and so on?

I believe it should show up in your inventory.

Do you have all the latest patches (the unofficial patches and such)? Though I think if you don't at this point you would have to restart to have them take effect. You are far enough along in the game though to not have that be worth it. It is probably just a bug, and not a game breaking one (especially since if I remember correctly the medical arachnid itself is bugged and doesn't work correctly).

It doesn't appear anywhere. I have tried multiple ways of completing the task all with same result.

I haven't applied any patches, using the GOG version.

I'm part way through retrieving the blade of Xeres and getting thrashed in the caves. I was hoping the medical arachnid would help me in this case.

I also had a problem when I sent the telegraph for information on the demon. I do not recieve anything in my inventory when I get the response so still have to go off to Tarant to ask in person.

I'm enjoying this challenging and just want to complete the GOG. Then I will patch and replay.

Those may be issues which are solved by the unofficial patch, I don't remember if they are or not.
