The main thing that bugs me in this game is how large-size characters (i.e. half-ogres) are pretty much shafted on the armor front. You barely ever find any large-size armor, and when you do it's usually nothing special. Out of all the times I've played I think I only ever found really good magical large armor all of once. Half-ogres are supposed to be tough and hardy, and yet they usually die the fastest just because their only option for armor is plain leather most of the time. Yeah, I know you can just keep trying the shops until one of them has some large plate mail or something, but that whole aspect of the game sort of bugs me too.

Royial20: Wow thanks! Well I didn't know that. Its just a little thing that irked me plus I guess I figure why not?
Indeed. The music folder does include things that aren't really music, like some of the dramatic combat ... phrases? not sure of the proper musical term ... that are only a measure or two long. Anyway, a cleaned up separately downloaded soundtrack would be nice.
This is what Drog Black Tooth wrote concerning the soundtrack:

By a stroke of luck, one of the few promotional CDs that were distributed in Europe for free was found.

The soundtrack was never released commercially, and all we had were the mp3 (128 kbps) version that Sierra made available for free download and the in-game version, which had the same quality. But since the mp3 files were available for free download, one would assume that distributing the uncompressed tracks is also legal, but alas Sierra never released them.

A few weeks ago I found a person (who preferred to stay anonymous) that had a promotional CD and was willing to share the original tracks with everyone. And now the Arcanum soundtrack is here, in all its glory!

The soundtrack has also been converted for the in-game use. While you can download the MP3 version (320 kbps), it's also possible to use the original wave tracks in the game with the help of a small patch.

I'd like to thank Mr. Houge for his magnificent and moving music. Only thanks to this fine gentleman we can enjoy such a unique work. He poured a great deal of love and attention into his music and it's greatly appreciated. I encourage everyone to read his notes and comments on the soundtrack.

And most importantly, if you're interested in Arcanum and its soundtrack please consider purchasing a CD if the soundtrack ever gets a commercial release.
Wow, thanks!
Just playing Tech characters in general. You have to specialize to absurd levels to be able to make anything decent, parts and ammunition except for the most basic guns are hard to find or make, certain party members become largely useless even at high levels, and by the time you can finally build that improved plate armor and tesla gun, you're likely the maximum level already, and still lacking some stats to use it to full effect.

Agreed on the elite plate armor, not worth the spend on character points IMO. But, if you take 3 levels in Smithing you can make Balanced Sword and Featherweight Axe which are powerful, and the axe can be made into Pyrotechnic Axe or Charged one which is even more powerful .. though this depends on you finding the schematics.

Its the guns and rifles that aren't very lethal I think, kinda hard to justify spending CP on them.

edit:
Later on when the Mechanized Rifle can be built, its literally death-on-a-stick though :)

To be honest I don't think this is a particularly bad thing. It would be unreasonable to expect everybody to have the capacity to keep up and is representative of the character's capability. For instance, if somebody like Jayna Stiles remained a useful party member right to the end, I'd find that a little hard to swallow.

If you're a fan of playing tech characters, then this is not as much a problem. Find them some leather armor, and combine it with a large spool of wire for a feather-weight chainmail, or with an electrical harness for a healing jeacket. Sure, it's not quite machined platemail, but it's better than rags.

Um, you do realize you just necro'd an eight-year-old thread, right?
